Lost & Found

Lost & Found Tatyana ZW Alanis Illustrator & Designer - hello@french75studios.com - @french75studios - french75studios.com

Today would have been my sister's 73rd birthday, a day we planned to celebrate together. Though she is no longer with us, our bond as biological sisters remains strong, and our short time together was a highlight in both of our lives.

In honor of her memory, I'd like to share a piece of art created for us, titled 'Lost & Found.' The artwork done by Tatyana Alanis symbolizes our connection, with both of us depicted as flowers, a tree representing family, and our parents also depicted as flowers. Her arms wrapped around her waist and the placement of a flower in her jacket opening serve as poignant reminders of our shared history.

Although she is backwards in the image, signifying the separation we experienced, our matching clothes and colors represent our togetherness, family, and the fact that we were 'cut from the same cloth.' The puzzle base signifies the pieces of our story coming together.

This was to have been a gift to her from me.

Thinking of you today, dear sister. May you rest in peace, knowing that our love and connection remain steadfast."
